Connecting local communities with fiber infrastructure
Rural Fiber Optic Line
Logan Simpson provided Zayo Group multiple environmental services that included cultural resources investigations, biological assessments, and Clean Water Act evaluations for an approximately 50-mile long fiber optic project within the right of ways of State Routes 77, 79, and 287 in Pinal County Arizona (Florence to Tucson). Logan Simpson also completed the required National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation for this rural project corridor which passed through multiple land jurisdictions. After securing all the necessary authorizations and permits from Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), Arizona State Land Department (ASLD), Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), and the San Carlos Irrigation Project (SCIP), Logan Simpson prepared a Historic Property Treatment Plan (HPTP) and completed data recovery at 16 cultural sites within the corridor. Additionally, we coordinated with ADOT’s Parkway and Scenic Roads Advisory Committee to complete a native plant inventory for Arizona State Land Department (ASLD) and prepared the project’s Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
