Logan Simpson led a team of consultants to redesign the main courtyard at the Arizona Agribusiness and Equine Center, located at the school’s South Mountain campus in Phoenix, Arizona. The resulting design transformed the courtyard into a usable and inviting space for students to gather for school programs, lunches, outdoor classroom activities, and breakout spaces. Project amenities include: tensile fabric shade structures, shade trees, integrally colored concrete plazas, intricate exterior lighting set in seat walls and on the shade canopy, poured-in-place concrete seat walls and enhanced landscape and irrigation. These additions extended the educational programs into the exterior and allowed for nighttime and weekend use.
