The Navajo Division of Transportation is proposing to improve Navajo Route N12 in Arizona which is required by National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance. As such, biological water resources were investigated, which included a Biological Evaluation to address concerns to species that are important to the Navajo Nation and protected by the Environmental Science Agency (ESA); and a wetland delineation, preliminary jurisdictional determinations (PJD), Section 404 permit, and Section 401 Water Quality Certification.
