Temporary Field Biologists – Tempe/Flagstaff

Logan Simpson, an environmental planning, cultural resources, and landscape architectural design firm, currently seeks temporary Field Biologists to work in our Tempe or Flagstaff, Arizona offices.

Duties include (but not limited to the following):

  • Conducting field surveys and/or biological monitoring for invasive species, and for various wildlife, fish, and/or plant species and their habitats, especially threatened, endangered or sensitive species;
  • Prepares/assists in compilation of field data;
  • Supports other disciplines and other offices in accordance with capabilities and experience.


  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Range Science, Botany, Biology, or closely-related field, or has a minimum of two years of work experience in one of the above fields;
  • Experience in conducting ecological/biological field studies;
  • Willingness to travel;
  • Ability to conduct surveys in remote, rugged terrain in extreme climates.
