Where nature and design nurture healing and human connection
Larimer County Behavioral Health Facility
Logan Simpson provided landscape design services for the new Larimer County Behavioral Health Facility, a project dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of Larimer County residents. Working in close collaboration with architects, civil engineers, and irrigation designers, Logan Simpson’s design team created a welcoming entrance and outdoor environment with a focus on group and individual spaces for healing and connection with nature. The outdoor spaces are thoughtfully designed to encourage interaction, reflection, and restoration for patients, visitors, and staff. Key elements include healing gardens, a labyrinth, meandering pathways, areas for quiet contemplation, and an area for active sports play. Central to the design goals are safety, security, and the promotion of healthy behaviors. The team also contributed to the final conceptual master plan, ensuring flexibility for future expansion while meeting all County standards. As part of this effort, Logan Simpson designed and organized the parking layout to provide sufficient spaces for patients, visitors, and staff, along with safe fire access for both current and future facilities.
