Tres Rios Environmental Restoration

Ecological Restoration // Landscape Architecture

Logan Simpson was chosen to be the Arizona environmental consultants for the Tres Rios project. The landscape architecture firm worked on three miles of the Salt River and Gila River corridors from 105th Avenue to El Mirage Avenue. Phase 3—broken into several segments—extends more than five miles in length and one mile in width.

Phases 3A and 3B updated and reconfigured drainage systems and removed invasive salt cedar in a 2.5-mile-long, 650-acre stretch of open water and wetland marshes at the confluence of the Gila, Salt, and Agua Fria rivers.
