Temporary Archaeological Field Technicians – Colorado

Logan Simpson is seeking temporary Archaeological Field Technicians to conduct archaeological inventory work in the Front Range area of Colorado, reporting to our Fort Collins office.

The ideal candidates will have a B.A. or M.A. in Anthropology, completed archaeological field school, and possess experience conducting fieldwork in a cultural resource management setting.

Individuals must be able to survey in remote locations and walk up to 10 miles per day over steep terrain, while carrying a pack weighing up to 45 pounds. Individuals must also be capable of conducting a cultural resources pedestrian survey, which includes: operating handheld GPS units (Trimbles and Gamins); identifying archaeological artifacts and features; documenting archaeological artifacts and features in written notes and using Compass field forms. Ability to work cooperatively with crew members and supervisors a must!
